A driver was seriously injured after crashing into a power pole in uptown Charlotte early Thursday morning.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the wreck happened around 2:19 a.m. on N McDowell Street at East Trade Street. A passenger in the car is expected to be OK but CMPD says the driver went to Carolinas Medical Center in critical condition.
No other vehicles were involved.
There's no word on contributing factors.
