Spartanburg, SC : Woman killed when car, bus collide in Spartanburg County on Friday morning, July 22, 2016

One person was killed when a bus and a car collided on Cedar Springs Road near the entrance to the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind Friday morning, according to Spartanburg County coroner.

Officials say 26-year-old Tamesha Rochelle Reddish of Longbow Drive in Spartanburg was killed in the collision.

The crash happened just before 8 a.m. when officials say the driver of a 2000 Honda crossed the median and hit a 2009 Ford bus head-on.

Clevenger said his office was working to make a positive identification of the victim and notify family of the victim in the car.

The bus belonged to the Spartanburg County Transportation Bureau. Officials at the scene said no passengers were on board at the time of the crash. The driver of the bus was taken to the hospital, but the driver's condition was not known. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.

Troopers are investigating the crash.
