REARDAN, WA : Fatal crash blocks both directions of U.S Highway 2 near Reardan on Saturday, 6h July 2024

A 40-year-old woman is dead after crashing her motorcycle on U.S. Highway 2 Saturday night.

Christina Gernert from Post Falls was speeding eastbound on U.S. Highway 2 near milepost 268 around 6:49 p.m. on July 6 when she attempted to pass a car and hit a car traveling westbound.

WSP said she was pronounced dead at the scene and that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the cause of the crash.
