One of two teens involved in a homicide that led to a crash with police was involved in a homicide investigation earlier this year.
17-year-old DeMarcus Daniels and 16-year-old Xzavier McWillie have been charged with attempted murder and shooting into an occupied vehicle. They are still awaiting more charges.
It was just five months ago, that DeMarcus Daniels was on the other side of a homicide investigation after his friend was killed.
On the afternoon of surveillance cameras caught Daniels with his friend, Juzaharis Webb. The two were walking home from Wenonah High school when gunfire erupts from a passing car. The bullets fatally wounded Webb, but Daniels survived.
Daniels would go on to graduate from Wenonah High in May, a little more than a month before Friday night's crash.
Now he and 16-year-old McWillie, who also attended Wenonah and later Parker High, are possibly facing murder charges.
At this time, Birmingham Police are still not releasing the name of their two officers involved in that crash.
Both remain hospitalized in stable condition.
