State police say an upstate New York couple has died after an accident involving a pickup truck and their motorcycle.

The fatal collision occurred around 1:22 p.m. Sunday on Route 14 in the Wayne County town of Sodus, 28 miles east of Rochester.

Troopers say the 58-year-old Wayne County man who was driving the pickup truck failed to keep right and drove into the southbound lane, striking the motorcycle carrying 49-year-old James Eatherly and his 41-year-old wife Tammy. The couple, both from nearby Palmyra, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
