OWATONNA ,MN : Child, two adults hurt in Friday DWI crash on July, Friday 28th 2017
Police say a man driving drunk with his children in the vehicle injured three people in a one-car rollover crash on Friday.
According to the complaint filed Monday, Jeremy Miller, 30, of Blooming Prairie has been charged with two counts of first-degree DWI, criminal vehicular operation causing bodily harm and two counts of endangerment of a child. The DWI charges are felonies that carry maximum statutory penalties of seven years imprisonment each.
The complaint states that Steele County deputies were called to the crash scene on Austin Road just before midnight Friday and found a Toyota Avalon on its side in the ditch with severe damage, and a woman and two children sitting nearby. The woman, who deputies observed seemed intoxicated, said they had all been passengers in the vehicle, driven by a friend named “Marcus,” whose last name she did not know and who was also intoxicated, and she did not know where Marcus was. She said the children were her boyfriend’s children, and her boyfriend is Jeremy Miller.
