Springfield, MO : Driver killed in crash near Rogersville on Monday afternoon, April 10, 2017
Authorities say one person was killed in a crash Monday afternoon on Highway 60 in Rogersville.
Rogersville Police Chief Paul Laughlin said the driver of a minivan was killed when the van crashed into the back of a semitrailer just before 1 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 60 and Highway 125.
Laughlin said both vehicles were heading eastbound on Highway 60. He said the semitrailer slowed down approaching the traffic light, and the minivan hit the back of the semitrailer,
The front end of the minivan went underneath the semitrailer.
At 2 p.m., eastbound Highway 60 was down to one lane, and traffic was backed up for about a mile. There were two firetrucks, two ambulances, Rogersville police and Missouri State Highway Patrol vehicles on scene.
It appeared as though another occupant of the minivan was taken away in an ambulance. Laughlin said that person has serious injuries.
