Lebanon, OR : Police respond to rollover crash on Wednesday, October, 11th 2017
Lebanon Police officers responded to South Grove Street and East Oak Street for a reported motor vehicle crash at 9:53 p.m. On Oct. 11
A vehicle had crashed and then came to rest on its top in the middle of the train tracks, according to a press release from the city of Lebanon. Officers arrived simultaneously with Lebanon Fire medics, who were on-scene to treat the vehicle's three occupants.
The investigation revealed that the vehicle's three occupants had left a party at a nearby apartment complex, according to the release. The vehicle left eastbound on Elmore Street, and then headed north on South Grove Street. The driver of the vehicle, year-old Amanda Nichole Kelly, 19, of Lebanon, was unaware that Grove Street came to a dead end at the railroad tracks, according to the release. The vehicle struck a barrier and then flipped onto its top, landing in the center of the tracks.
Kelly was arrested for driving under the influence , assault, reckless driving and reckless endangerment.
She also was issued a citation for Minor in possession of alcohol and driving without a license.
The front passenger of the vehicle, 18-year-old Elizabeth Nicole-Inez Johnson, of Lebanon, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital. She was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol.
The rear passenger of the vehicle, a 17-year-old juvenile female, was also transported to Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital for minor injuries. She was referred to the Juvenile Department for minor in possession of alcohol.
