Austin,TX : Man arrested in crash that killed Nueces County clerk's sister on January, Wednesday 31st 2018

The 22-year-old man charged in the crash that killed the sister of Nueces County Clerk Kara Sands has been arrested.

Dacota Deaver was arrested Tuesday night, and appeared in court Wednesday morning before Judge Inna Klein.

Deaver will face charges of manslaughter and criminal negligent homicide. His bail was set at $100,000.

Police said Cecilia Stanford, 44, was pushing her stalled car on Oct. 24 near Calallen High School when another vehicle failed to brake and collided with her.
