Waco, TX : Whitney man dies in 1-vehicle crash on Sunday, December 4th, 2016

One person died in a one-vehicle crash about 1:30 a.m. Sunday near Whitney, Texas Department of Public Safety officials said.
An announcement by Sgt. D.L. Wilson said Justin Lee Rightmer, 26, of Whitney, was driving north alone in a 2006 GMC pickup truck a half-mile south of Whitney on Farm Road 933 when he left the road on a curve and overturned.
Wilson said Rightmer was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Martis Ward.
“The DPS message is for all drivers to wear their seat belts,” Wilson said.
