Salisbury, NC : Woman was struck and killed by a car early Monday October 6th 2014.

A woman was struck and killed by a car early Monday night while trying to cross Statesville Boulevard near Lash Drive, according to Salisbury Police. The woman, now identified as Kimberly Regina Allen, was walking across Statesville Boulevard from the Kangaroo convenience store to go back to her home at Lakewood Apartments when she was hit by a station wagon. Investigators say Allen stepped off the curb and directly into the path of the oncoming car. The accident happened around 7:40 pm.
