NORTON, WV : One individual was life-flighted to a Morgantown hospital after a crash on Friday, August 25, 2017

One individual was life-flighted to a Morgantown hospital after a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Corridor H in Randolph County Friday afternoon.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday, crews responded to the wreck on U.S. 33 near Leslie Equipment Company.

Investigating officer Sr. Deputy M.P. Dyer, of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, said, “The driver of the Buick Enclave, Debbie Starkey from Buckhannon, was pulling out of Leslie Equipment and going to head back toward Elkins when she pulled into the path of Kevin Shreve from Harding — he was headed west on U.S. 33.”

Shreve was traveling on a motorcycle and was life-flighted to Morgantown for treatment. As of presstime, his condition was unknown.

Starkey was issued a citation for failure to yield.

Deputies E.B. Carr and B.W. Cogar, also of RCSO, the Randolph County EMS, the Elkins Fire Department and the Coalton and Junior volunteer fire departments also assisted at the scene.
