Orange City,FL : Two killed in head-on collision in East Orange County on may, Monday 29th 2017

An early morning crash claimed the lives of two people in East Orange County.
FHP said a vehicle was traveling at southbound on State Route 417 at 12:30 a.m. when it lost control for an unknown reason when it crossed the median, struck a second vehicle head on and proceeded to overturn.

Officials said the driver of the first vehicle, a 20-year-old female from Orlando, was killed as well as the driver in the second vehicle, a 53-year-old female from Lakeland.

Three others in the second vehicle were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

State Route 417 was closed for nearly 6 hours between University Boulevard and Aloma Avenue, but is now open.

Authorities haven't released the names of those killed in the crash.
