CHOCTAW, OK : Child suffers minor injuries in Choctaw-Nicoma Park school bus crash on Wednesday, 14th September 2016

A child suffered minor injuries during a school bus crash Wednesday afternoon in Choctaw.

The crash was reported near Southeast 44th Street and Indian Meridian Road, near Triple X Road, officials said. The bus belongs to the Choctaw-Nicoma Park School District.

Oklahoma City police officials said a child on the bus sustained minor injuries and was released at the scene.

The school district sent another bus to the area so the children can get home. Parents who want to pick up their children were allowed to do so.

The driver of a truck involved in the crash will not be arrested, but will received citations for traffic violations.
