SHELTON, CT : Waterbury pedestrian killed in Shelton crash on Tuesday, December, 5th 2017

A 27-year-old Waterbury man was killed after being struck by two vehicles on Tuesday, according to police.

At about 7:20 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the area of 350 Bridgeport Ave. for a report of a two-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, Bethapudi Naga Tulasi Ram, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a native of India and a student at the University of Bridgeport, police said.

Police said the drivers of the two vehicles stayed on scene and are cooperating with investigators.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
