Dover, DE : Fatal crash in Berne on Wednesday, November, 22nd 2017

Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple tells us a 34-year-old New Scotland man was traveling east on Delaware Turnpike in the area of the Upper Letter S when he struck 74-year-old William S. Kelsey of Berne.
Sheriff Apple says Kelsey was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigators, it appeared Kelsey had struck a deer in the area, had exited his vehicle, and was struck while walking in the roadway.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation although it does not appear alcohol or speed was a contributing factor.
