Torrance, CA : Motorcyclist dies, passenger injured in Redondo Beach crash on Wednesday, March 29, 2017

The crash occurred about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday on the Inglewood Avenue on-ramp to the northbound 405, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 46-year-old man, was in the carpool lane when it crashed into a raised curb and metal guardrail, ejecting the biker and his 36-year-old female passenger, also from Redondo Beach, the CHP reported.
A passing motorist stopped and began to provide medical aid to the badly injured man before emergency medical personnel arrived. The man was taken to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, the CHP reported. His name was withheld pending family notification.
The woman was taken to County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in unknown condition. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
