Joplin,MO : Six injured in area traffic accidents on February, Friday 16th 2018
A Seneca woman sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 1:55 p.m. Friday on Missouri Highway 43, about 5 miles south of Joplin in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Carolyn S. Golden, 79, was taken to Mercy Hospital Joplin.
She was driving a southbound vehicle that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
• Two Aurora residents sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 1:30 p.m. Friday on Farm Road 1120, about 2 miles south of Hoberg in Lawrence County, according to the state patrol.
The driver of the vehicle, Zackery J. Carey, 17, and his passenger, Raymond J. Richter, 41, were taken to Mercy Hospital Joplin.
Their northbound vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree, the patrol said.
• A Joplin teen sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 8:15 a.m. Friday on Apple Road, a mile east of Joplin, according to the state patrol.
Ashley R. Beebe, 16, was taken to Mercy Hospital Joplin.
She was driving a westbound car that suddenly developed a mechanical problem and became difficult to steer on a curve, causing her to hit a curb, the patrol said.
Two teens were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 49 near the Neosho city limits in Newton County, according to the patrol.
The driver of the vehicle, Kyle M. Waldon, 17, of Stella, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin with moderate injuries and his passenger, Zoey E. Meador, 17, of Anderson, was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.
Their northbound pickup truck ran off the road and overturned when its left rear tire blew, the patrol said. Waldon was thrown from the vehicle.
