A London man died in a single-vehicle accident in Jackson County early Monday morning.
According to the press release from the Richmond Post 7 of Kentucky State Police, 28-year-old Travis North of Overbey Road in London was traveling east on Ky. 577 near the intersection with George McQueen Road in Jackson County around 1:30 a.m. when his 2004 Chevrolet SUV crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic. The vehicle then went off the left side of the roadway and hit an embankment, which caused it to overturn several times. North was reportedly ejected from the vehicle, which came to rest over a hillside.
North was pronounced dead at the scene by the Jackson County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation into the accident is continuing by KSP Trooper Brandon Scalf of the Richmond Post.
