WEST HARTFORD, CT : Crash shuts down S Main St intersection in W Hartford on Tuesday, 12th September 2023

The intersection of South Main Street and Elmfield Street was shut down Tuesday night for a crash.

A motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with what police have described as life-threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash stayed at the scene, according to officers.

The crash happened at about 9:15 p.m. The area remained closed overnight and officials say all lanes have been reopened as of 4:30 a.m.

Southbound traffic on South Main Street was diverted onto New Britain Avenue.
