Gaffney,SC : N.C. man dies in single-vehicle crash on June, Saturday 3rd 2017

An increasingly deadly year on Cherokee County highways became worse Saturday when a North Carolina man died in an early morning crash on Interstate 85 in Blacksburg. Samuel Wayne Johnson Jr., 31, of Bladenboro, N.C., was the eighth person to die in a vehicle-related accident in Cherokee County in 2017, Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler confirmed Saturday.
