One person died Wednesday night on 1-26 westbound.
A car was traveling in the westbound lanes near mile marker 171 in Dorchester County when it hit someone walking in the road, an official with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said. The vehicle struck the person, who died on-scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
