Pasco, WA : Three people injured in rollover crash near Columbia Center mall on Thursday, October 13, 2016

Three people were hurt when their car rolled sideways Thursday on Highway 240 near Columbia Center Boulevard.

Joshua L. Kasselder, 22, of Pasco, was driving a 1996 Honda Civic when he tried to change lanes, according to the Washington State Patrol. The car rolled sideways and landed upside down in the median at the Columbia Center Boulevard overpass.

Debris hit a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic driving the opposite direction. The Sonic’s driver, a 58-year-old Kennewick woman, was not hurt.

Kasselder and his passengers, Preston B. Burnett, 19, and Johnnie C. Burnett, 20, both from Pasco, were taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland to be treated for their injuries and were later released.

The state patrol reported the cause of the collision was improper lane travel.by Kasselder. He was issued a ticket for second-degree negligent driving.
