Norman ,OK :Motorcycle driver killed after fatal accident along Interstate 35 on Sunday May 3 2015

The Norman Police Department Incident Reconstruction Team is investigating a fatal accident Sunday that killed a driver of a motorcycle near State Highway 9 and Interstate 35.

About 12:35 a.m., police responded to a call about an accident involving a small sports utility vehicle and a motorcycle near west S.H. 9 and the northbound I-35 ramp, officials said. The motorcycle driver was found with severe injuries in a grass area next to the roadway.

The driver was taken to Norman Regional Hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead, officials said.

The motorcycle driver's name has not been released.

The driver of the SUV, Kaitlyn Romo, 24, of Weslaco, Texas, was taken to Norman Regional Hospital for treatment, officials said.

The cause of the accident has not been announced.
