Orange County, FL : DeLand man dies in motorcycle crash on State Road 520 in Orange County on Sunday, 21st March 2021

A 54-year-old DeLand man died Sunday afternoon after crashing his motorcycle on State Road 520 in Orange County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The unidentified driver hit the back of a pickup truck around 2 p.m. near Nova Road, said FHP spokeswoman Lt. Kim Montes.

He was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle after the crash and died at the scene, Montes said.

The truck driver’s driver, a 43-year-old woman from Georgia, was not injured.
