2-vehicle crash closes northbound U.S. 131

Traffic has halted on northbound U.S. 131 at 68th Street after a two-vehicle crash closed both lanes early Sunday morning.

At 6:07 a.m., a two vehicle crash occurred on northbound U.S. 131 at mile marker 76, according to MDOT. No information about the conditions of the drivers is available at this time.

Officers from the Kent County Sheriff's Department remain on scene to direct traffic, according to Kent County Dispatch. Michigan State Police troopers also responded to the crash.

Both lanes remain closed at this time.
