FORDOCHE, LA : 3 dead after police chase ends in crash on Thursday, 10th August 2023

Three people were killed in a crash in Pointe Coupee Parish Thursday morning.

Louisiana State Police said that deputies with the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office were involved in a pursuit of a stolen 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. The Nissan was going north on LA 77 when the driver lost control of the car while in a curve.

State police said the Nissan went off the road striking multiple objects, including a tree, before being engulfed in flames.

Three occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. One person was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. Troopers are trying to identify the subjects involved in the crash.
