Reading, PA : Lebanon County man hurt in crash on State Hill Road on Sunday, February 19, 2017

A Lebanon County man was injured in a one-vehicle crash on State Hill Road in Lower Heidelberg Township, police said.

The crash occurred about 8 p.m. Sunday when the vehicle went up an embankment between Brownsville and Sweitzer roads and overturned, township police said.

The driver, Valeriy Palashnyuk, 59, of Newmanstown was unconscious when emergency crews arrived, police said.

A Reading Hospital spokeswoman said Monday night that Palashnyuk was in good condition. Earlier in the day, he had been listed in critical condition.

He and two passengers, whose names were not immediately available, had been taken to the hospital. Information on the passengers’ conditions could not be obtained.

The section of the State Hill Road remained closed for about 90 minutes while police investigated. A crash reconstruction team from the Berks County district attorney’s office assisted.
