Scranton, PA : Lake Ariel man dies in crash near Pennell Road on Sunday night, March 12, 2017

A 33-year-old Lake Ariel man died Sunday night when he lost control of his vehicle on a snowy road, state police at Honesdale said.

Louis Michael Raimo died from his injuries at Wayne Memorial Hospital following the crash on Route 590, troopers said.

He spun off the roadway near Pennell Road. His 2010 Honda Civic flipped onto its roof and struck a tree at 10:10 p.m.

Raimo, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. He suffered serious internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Wayne County Coroner Edward R. Howell ruled his death as accidental.
