COLUMBUS, OH : 1 dead following crash on I-70 West near downtown Columbus on Sunday, 30th June 2024

One person is dead following a crash on Interstate 70 near downtown Sunday evening, according to the Columbus Division of Police.

Officers were called on a report of a crash just before 10:20 p.m. on I-70 West near the Interstate 71 split, located by Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Police say an adult was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer on the westbound I-70 ramp to I-71 north when they lost their vehicle. The Trailblazer ran off the left side of the road into the median wall, causing the SUV to flip and land on the driver's side.
