TROY, OH : A two-vehicle crash on May, Wednesday 10th 2017

A Tipp City man was charged with failure to yield to the right of way in a two-vehicle crash that sent a Springfield woman to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight on South County Road 25-A, Troy, on Wednesday afternoon.

At 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Austin Rench, 18, of Tipp City, was driving northbound on County Road 25-A as he attempted to make a left hand turn onto Stone Circle Drive, striking a vehicle traveling northbound in their lane of travel.

Vikki Ricketts, 60, of Springfield, was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight. A call to Miami Valley Hospital was made and her condition was not released. Ricketts sustained non-life threatening injuries.

She was extricated by a passer-by from her vehicle.

Miami County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Steve Lord confirmed there was a report of a reckless operation of vehicles racing in the area prior to the reported crash.
