Pottawattamie County, IA : Woman critically injured in motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 59 near Oakland early Friday, July 22, 2016

A motorcyclist was critically injured early Friday in a crash just north of Oakland, Iowa, in Pottawattamie County.

The crash occurred around 2:05 a.m. outside Oakland Foods at 21876 U.S. Highway 59.

The woman was taken by medical helicopter to Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Oakland is situated about 25 miles east of Council Bluffs.

Oakland Foods produces more than 200 fully cooked and ready to cook custom products, from hot dogs and sausages to home-style meatloaf and fully cooked bacon, according to the company’s website.
