Riverview, FL : High School student was hit by a vehicle as she crossed the road on her bicycle on Tuesday morning September 16th 2014

A Riverview High School student was hit by a vehicle as she crossed the road on her bicycle early Tuesday morning. The crash happened at 6:51 a.m. at Balm Riverview Road and Whispering Creek Boulevard. The student was injured, but her injuries are non-life threatening, deputies said. An Acura Integra was traveling northbound on Balm Riverview Rd., approaching Whispering Creek Blvd., when the student darted in front of the vehicle to cross Balm Riverview Rd. The Acura struck the student and the driver remained at the scene for deputies to arrive. The girl was transported via MedEvac to TGH in stable condition. The driver of the Acura will not be cited, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. Balm Riverview Road has reopened for traffic. Source : Riverview High student injured after car crash
