Jasper County, MO : Illinois resident injured in a single-vehicle accident on Route BB, east of Carthage on Thursday, October 27, 2016

An Illinois man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:15 a.m. today on Route BB, five miles east of Carthage in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol said David L. Barton, 55, of Granite City, Illinois, was driving a northbound vehicle that ran off the right side of the road and overturned.

Barton suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Joplin, the patrol said.
