JEROME, ID : A Jerome man died in a crash on May, Saturday, 20th 2017
A Jerome man died Saturday night when the pickup he was driving hit an SUV that was stopped on Interstate 84.
Cody R. Mays, 24, was eastbound on I-84 about 9 p.m. when he struck an unoccupied SUV that was disabled and partly in the lane of travel. The SUV had hit an object in the roadway and all its occupants got out.
Mays’ pickup overturned and came to rest on its wheels in the median. Mays, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the pickup and died at the scene.
Mays’ passengers, Maikayla C. Townsley, 19, of Hagerman, and Tyson C. Baumann, 25, of Twin Falls, were taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.
