Manchester, N.H : No children injured when car, school bus collide in Manchester on Friday afternoon, January 9, 2015

No children were injured but a female driver was taken to a hospital after a school bus and a car collided in Manchester on Friday afternoon.

The Northwest Elementary School bus and car collided on Goffstown Back Road. Twenty-four children were on the bus, but none of them were injured.

Fire officials said the driver of the car was trapped in the vehicle. She was taken to a hospital after emergency crews extracted her from the car. Her condition wasn't released, but officials described her as badly hurt.

The students were put on another bus and taken back to the school, where their parents could pick them up.

Manchester District Fire Chief Mark Pelletier said authorities don't know yet what caused the crash.

"Looking at the damage to the car, I would have to say the bus probably hit the driver's side of the car," Pelletier said. "That's what it looks like to me."

Investigators aren't saying yet if weather was a factor.
