Tractor-trailer, car crash leaves 3 dead in New Kent, Virginia

Virginia State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash in New Kent County that left three dead.Senior Trooper B.A. Fleenor says a car crashed into a tractor-trailer at the intersection of Route 155 and Kentland Trail at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Two men in the care were pronounced dead at the scene. A third was transported to Richmond for treatment, where he died.A fourth occupant of the car suffered serious injuries.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.Fleenor says the vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way to the truck, which was unable to avoid the collision.

The victims’ names have not been released.
