Boulder, CO : Fatal Diagonal crash on Wednesday, 20th June 2018
Investigators believe the 70-year-old woman who died when her SUV was hit by a tow truck on the Diagonal Highway near Niwot ran a red light and caused the collision.
The woman, identified by the Colorado State Patrol as Margaret Graham, of California, was driving her 2004 Honda SUV east on Niwot Road around 11 a.m. Monday when she approached the intersection with the Diagonal, according to Colorado State Patrol Trooper Josh Lewis.
Lewis said Graham ran the red light at the intersection, and her SUV was struck on its driver's side by a 2010 Kenworth flat-bed tow truck headed toward Boulder on the Diagonal.
