Gadsden, AL : A Rainsville man died as the result of a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, 28th March 2018
A Rainsville man died as the result of a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Fort Payne, according to Police Chief Randy Bynum.
The crash occurred about 1:50 p.m. on Airport Road at the intersection of Locklear Street.
Nicholas Delane Sewell, 26, died after a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, driven by a juvenile, collided with the 2005 Suzuki 750 motorcycle he was driving. First responders from the Fort Payne Police Department, Fort Payne Fire Department and DeKalb Ambulance Service rendered aid but Sewell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is under investigation by Fort Payne police, detectives and traffic homicide investigators.
“This is a reminder for motorists to be aware of motorcycles and bicycles, sharing the roadway with them,” Bynum said in a press release.
