ST. CHARLES, MO : A car crash at an intersection with U.S. 61 in St. Charles on Saturday, January, 20th 2018

A Quincy, Ill., woman died Saturday in a car crash at an intersection with U.S. 61 in St. Charles.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Phyllis J. Heindselman, 82, of Quincy, was driving east on U.S. 61 at the intersection with Route W. Investigators said Heindselman pulled into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Emily E. Aubuchon, 26, of Silex. Heindselman's 2011 Toyota Camry was struck in the driver side by Aubuchon's 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. Both vehicles were totaled.

The crash was reported at 1:40 p.m. Heindselman was pronounced dead at 2:25 p.m. by Dr. K. Sutterer.

Aubuchon suffered moderate injuries and was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis.
