Sandwich ,MA : One seriously Injured after Three -car crash on Saturday ,August 1st 2015
- A three-car crash has snarled early morning traffic on busy Route 6 on Cape Cod and seriously injured at least one person.
Sandwich Deputy Fire Chief John Burke tells the Cape Cod Times (http://bit.ly/1JXwgaS) the crash began about 7:30 a.m. Saturday when an eastbound car went airborne over a guardrail near Exit 2 and ended up overturned in the westbound travel lane.
Burke said rescuers spent 15 minutes removing a man from his car. He was taken by helicopter to a Boston hospital in critical condition with head and neck injuries.
Part of his car hit the car of a woman who was treated and released at the scene.
Burke said two people in an SUV were injured when that driver swerved to miss the man's car and also rolled over. They were taken to a Plymouth hospital in fair condition.
