Dallas, TX : One person dead after pickup and semi collide on Interstate 20 in South Dallas on Thursday, February 11, 2016

One person has died in a crash involving a pickup truck and an 18-wheeler in South Dallas.

At least one person was pinned inside the pickup after it crashed with the semi on Interstate 20 near Lancaster Thursday afternoon, according to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.

CareFlite responded to the scene and took the driver of the pickup truck to a local hospital.

The passenger inside the truck died at the scene. The victim's name has not been released.

What led to the crash is under investigation.
