New Deal ,TX :33-year-old female injured after her car drove off I-27 and crashed into pole on Tuesday night ,September 15th 2015

A car drove off I-27 and crashed into a pole north of New Deal on Tuesday night.

It happened around 7:15 p.m.

Investigators say the driver of the vehicle was headed northbound on I-27. When she passed the bridge, she started drifting and over-corrected into the southbound lanes, across the median.

She ended up hitting the pole near Exit 15 just north of New Deal.

Investigators say the driver is a 33-year-old female who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

She was taken to a hospital, but we're still working to learn how serious her injuries are.
