Milwaukee, WI : County bus driver dies after crash on Friday night near Green Bay and Teutonia on August 22, 2014
The Brown Deer Police Department on Saturday identified the Milwaukee County Transit System bus driver who died Friday night after a medical emergency as Robert E. Dowden, 57, of Milwaukee.
Dowden's bus ran off the road and crashed at 8:11 p.m. Friday at the intersection of N. Teutonia Ave. and N. Green Bay Ave. in Brown Deer, according to a news release from the Police Department.
Four passengers were on board at the time. None of them were injured.
Dowden experienced a medical crisis, which is not specified in the release, which caused him to lose control of the bus. He lost consciousness either during or after the crash. Dowden was pronounced dead at the scene.
