Griffin, GA : Driver charged with homicide, DUI in fatal crash on Tuesday, 8th May 2018

A passenger was killed Tuesday when a motorist who was allegedly driving the under the influence lost control of his vehicle.

The Georgia State Patrol has arrested and charged Luke Furr, 23, of Villa Rica for homicide by a vehicle. The State Patrol said Furr had been drinking.

Furr was driving a Saturn SC2 east on Highway 101 and failed to maintain his lane and drove partially off the roadway, the State Patrol said. As Furr attempted to travel back onto the roadway, he lost control of the vehicle, which overturned.
