Covington,OH : 17-year-old hit by multiple vehicles, killed after getting out of moving car on Interstate 77 on October, Sunday 8th 2017

A 17-year-old Olmsted Township boy was hit by multiple cars and killed on Interstate 77 in Coventry Township early Sunday.

The crash happened near mile marker 121 around 2:10 a.m.

According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, the teen was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling south on I-77.

Authorities say the 17-year-old exited the moving vehicle and was struck by multiple cars on the highway.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

No criminal charges have been filed.

The crash is under investigation.
