Fox, OK : One injured in a two vehicle crash on State Highway 76 near Tag Road on Wednesday, September 21, 2016

A two vehicle crash shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday on State Highway 76 near Tag Road resulted in an Elmore City woman being airlifted to a metro medical facility.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Stephanie M. Orta, 42, Elmore City, sustained a leg injury in the crash. She was taken to St. Anthony Hospital, where she was admitted in stable condition.

Orta was identified as a passenger in a 2000 Mercury driven by Miguel A. Orta Jimenez, 54, Elmore City. Jimenez was not injured when his northbound car hit a 2008 Chevrolet pickup, driven by Dominic R. Rodriguez, 19, Fox. Reports state that Rodriguez was attempting to turn southbound onto the highway from a private drive when he failed to yield to the car. Rodriguez was also not injured.

Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles at the time of the crash.
