Monessen, PA : One person was killed in a two-car crash on Saturday, September 2, 2017

One person was killed when partially ejected in a two-car crash just before 7 p.m. Saturday near 5796 Route 711 in St. Clair Township, according to Westmoreland County emergency dispatchers.

Shortly after the accident, an ambulance traveling to the scene was hit by another vehicle, which left the scene, according to emergency dispatchers. No one was injured in that accident.

Shortly after 7 p.m., police shut down Route 711 at the accident scene in both directions. Police were detouring motorists.

No other details were available.

St. Clair Township police are investigating.
