Davenport, IA : Driver killed in I-280 crash early Friday, October 21, 2016

Rock Island County authorities have released the name of the driver who died in a single-vehicle crash early Friday.

Jerry Lee Hatch, 50, of Davenport, was the lone occupant of a 2004 green Buick Rainier sport utility vehicle that crashed at Illinois 92 and Interstate 280.

The crash occurred at 5:51 a.m.

According to Illinois State Police crash investigators, Hatch’s vehicle left the roadway at Exit 11A and rolled over at the Illinois 92 exit of eastbound I-280.

Hatch was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

Services for Hatch are pending at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport.
