Hamburg, N.Y : Bicyclist killed on Wyoming highway 220 Monday on June 30, 2014

A 59-year-old man was killed Monday when his bike was struck by a truck on Wyoming Highway 220.

The accident happened around 11 a.m. as Gary Griffin of Hamburg, N.Y., broke from the group he was riding with and veered left in front of a passing pickup about 25 miles south of Casper.

The driver could not avoid hitting him, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol and will not be charged.

Griffith was transported to the Wyoming Medical Center were he died.
